Dear Readers,
Have you ever taken part in a walkerthon? For the 15th year Avon/ Justine organized their Ithemba walkerthon. This time in partnership with Ammish Community Development we hosted a 400m virtual walk for Breast Cancer Awareness. To find our Organization taking part in such big events is a priviledge and we feel recognised and honoured.
It was amazing to see our Elderly, Mothers, Youth and Children enjoying the 400m walk to five Roses to meet other engaged people. Especially during these times it is important that we still stand-up together and raise awareness of other burning issues in our world.
Fighting Breast Cancer
The walk was to inform our community especially Mothers and Elderly to do regular self- examination, annual checkups and mammograms to reduce the risk of not finding a problem before its too late.
A wonderful thank you to each and everyone who supported and took part in 400m Breast Cancer walkerthon this past Saturday 31st October 2020. Hopefully males will also join or take part in this annually event next year.
This walk is very close to my heart and its always fulfilling to reach the finishline to a difference to a person who is a victim or a surviver. Thank you very much,
Masishaba Mlotshwa
